Format for the Evenings' Events

FFP's format allows those who wish to perform to do so. We encourage folk singers, song writers, and poets ... a variety of folk music styles from blue grass to the blues. We want to have a wide variety of people and music forms at our open mic. It's available to young and old, accomplished or relative beginner.
  • 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. – Open Mic – Each person interested in performing puts their name on the evening’s open mic list where they will play two songs (or recite a poem or two)*.
  • 8:15 – 8:30 p.m. – Refreshment Break – Refreshments (Coffee, Tea, Apple Cider, Cookies, Fruit, Danish ...)
  • 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. – Featured Performer, or group (Performers often have their CDs for sale at the front desk.)
There is a cover charge of $5.00 for the evening which defrays our cost for the evening’s refreshments, as well as remuneration for the featured performer.

PROGRAMS at

COFFEE HOUSE and OPEN MIC

* The open mic sign-up list is available beginning at 7:00 pm, and is first come, first serve. So get there early if you wish to perform. Each person gets to perform two songs (about 9 minutes.) Each evening has six slots available (with a waiting list of two, should there be some time left over.)

Please note that the Flagstaff Folk Project's Coffee House is purely an entertainment event and is not affiliated with any religious group.
